Looking for a change

I'm done with the wind chill factor, and I'm done being sick. The kids or Tony and I or someone or all of us have been sick for a month now, and I need it to be over. I don't even want hot tea or a warm blanket or whatever it is you're supposed to get when you don't feel well. I want to be able to go to a store without the fear of microscopic organisms that might yet again make Joseph cough until he throws up. Can we just play in the snow or something without our fingers freezing off? The kid has never even made a snowman!

I hope you guys feel better:(

I know you probably don't want to hear this.....but being exposed to germs is not always a bad thing. It mightl actually make the little ones more immune down the road, so they'll get sick less.

Not that helps:(

Here's an article that explains a little more of what I mean:
http://www.cnn.com/2006/HEALTH/conditions/04/05/cohen.allergies/index.html

Not that it's all scientific or anything.

Interesting article, but I wonder . . . I had one kid who was careful and cautious and never sick, and another who gathered every germ possible AND seemed to get every sickness. I don't think either of them get sick especially often as adults. I know that I am sick just thinking of anyone eating off a restaurant floor, though. And I am also ready for a change and sick of the cold, even without having been sick so far this year! Hang in there, Jen . . .

Thanks for the reply over at my journal! I'm glad we weren't as rotten as I'd feared. :) My minor's Russian--forgettable because a minor in it doesn't teach enough for me to pass the MTTC. :P

Next week is an ultimatum of sorts--my last chance to show that I can establish a 'teacher presence'. I don't know what I'm lacking, so tonight is freak-out night. I think I just need to remember to try to get through this internship and *then* I can decide to never set foot in a classroom again, if I like. But today? Today is definitely a "I want to go home and get a job as a library clerk" day. :)

I have a Renee in my class who's from Ghana--she makes me think of yours :)
